Psychedelic medicine sydney
Fundamentals of Psychedelic Medicine is a lecture series produced by Voytek Bereza, a UK-licensed prescribing neuropsychopharmacist (GPhC no. 2068979). The series is currently touring the East Coast of Australia, you can book via the following links:

The lecture includes:
  • A review of the new Australian Government approval of MDMA and psilocybin as medicines which came into effect 1 July 2023.
  • A comparison of key psychedelic compounds including ecstasy (MDMA), magic mushrooms (Psilocybin), DMT, LSD and ketamine covering effect, duration of action, and safety. • A review of the most up-to-date scientific data on their efficacy and use in depression, anxiety and PTSD.
  • A brief history of where the medicines originated from in nature including common cacti and mushroom species.
  • How psychedelics might be used to improve people's nature connectedness and help more people address the environmental crisis.

The lecture will last for 30 minutes and will be followed by a 15-minute forum-style questions and answer session. For anyone who would like to stay further, there is also the opportunity for attendees to experience a temporary, non-drug-induced hallucinogenic state using stroboscopics (see below).
